2007 ELGIN CUP MATCHES (24.05)

Dates changed yet again

Looks like first leg is this Saturday in Kampala

http://allafrica.com/stories/200705211431.html

Traditional rugby rivalry between African neighbours Kenya and Uganda is expressed in a trophy called the Elgin Cup. In the last two years this has become a home-away series and used as a warm up for both nations as they prepared for their Africa Cup matches. The series was previously set for August but now revised to June.

09.06.2007 Kampala

16.09.2007 Nairobi

“Dates of the first leg of Elgin Cup coincide with the annual Safari Seven’s tournament and maybe revised because Uganda and Kenya will be heavily involved in the Safari Sevens tournament.

Kenya is also scheduled to host Morocco on June 23 in Nairobi before travelling to Yaounde to play Cameroon in the Africa Cup assignments”

COUNTRY LISTS UPDATED (27.05)

This part of the web site has been unavailable since early March. Now that it is back in operation many of the country lists need updating. I am also adding any available match data sheets to these lists. This will take some time.

The following country lists have been updated. See alphabetical listing at the top of the page.

France XV   Georgia   Latvia   Poland   Portugal   Romania   Russia   Serbia   Switzerland   Uruguay   Wales XV

There are errors with some of the match data sheets in the lists above-technical wobbles I believe.

Scotland ‘A’ 13, United States 9 in Henley (Churchill Cup)

Scotland had plenty of woes following their 6 Nations campaign earlier in the year. A big win against the USA by the ‘A’ side was needed to boost confidence. With ten capped international players Scotland ‘A’ could only manage a disappointing 13-9 win against a team thrashed 51-3 by England Saxons last weekend. On the other hand it was a much improved performance by the USA
