MATCH NOTES This is the first time Japan has won two in a row against the USA. Kawamata, Toyida, Ire and Mafilieo were making their test debuts for Japan. All the Japanese bench was used but who they replaced is not known. Hatakeyama and Tomioka scored their first trys for Japan.
